Romania's business assessment market estimated at EUR 35 mln

10 September 2015

Romania’s business assessment and asset valuation market is estimated at EUR 35 million, according to Adrian Vascu, the president of the National Association of Romanian Valuators (ANEVAR). Banks generate about half of the business in this market.

“It’s still not a large market, if we compare it with the financial audit market, which exceeds EUR 120 million, but it’s a growing market,” said Vascu, cited by local Mediafax.

The Romanian valuation market is, however, more developed compared to most countries in the region.

“We are far-off from Bulgaria, very well organized, but there is still room for improvement. Compared to Poland we are better organized, we have a modern and dynamic law,” Vascu added.

A valuator makes on average EUR 20,000 per year in Romania whereas in the US the average is USD 145,000 per year. There are about 4,000 registered valuators in Romania, but only some of them are active, according to ANEVAR’s president.
