Romanian Staff Sgt. Ioan Petrescu, an MP for the International Security Assistance Force from Piatra Neamt, Romania, was recently declared hero of the week in Afghanistan by ISAF Regional Command (South).

Over the course of 250 targeted missions, he searched 3,500 rooms, 2,800 vehicles and 30,000 personnel.

“For his hard work, diligence and commitment to keeping Kandahar Airfield safe, Romanian Staff Sgt. Ioan Petrescu is our RC-South,” reads a message posted on the Facebook page of ISAF Regional Command (South).
