Romanian Regina Maria private clinics estimate 20% growth this year

Romanian private healthcare operator Regina Maria estimates a 20% increase in turnover this year, to EUR 55 million, the company announced. The growth rate is similar to that of last year.

“We continue to consolidate our position on key segments, such as women and child health, and corporate subscriptions,” said Fady Chreih, executive manager of Regina Maria.

The company reported a 16% increase in sales, to EUR 27 million. The growth rate is twice bigger than that of the market, which was of about 8%, according to the company’s estimates.

Regina Maria will open another clinic in Cluj-Napoca, following a EUR 0.4 million investment.

The company owns the Euroclinic hospital and the Baneasa hospital, both in Bucharest, a hospital in Brasov and a medical campus in Bacau, as well as a private health clinics network, laboratories and a stem cells bank. Regina Maria has a total of 21 units and employs more than 2,000 doctors.

The company is controlled by private equity fund Advent, which is currently looking to sell the business, according to Ziarul Financiar.
