Romanian jewelry producer opens four new shops as sales surge

Romanian jewelry maker Teilor opened four new shops in the first half of 2015, thus increasing its network to 12 shops, and plans to continue the expansion. The company recorded a 50% increase in sales in the first six months of the year, compared to the same period of 2014.

Tailor started its expansion in 2013, by opening its first shop in Bucharest, in the Baneasa Shopping City mall, with a EUR 200,000 investment. This year, the company already opened new shops in AFI Palace Cotroceni, and Mega Mall, in Bucharest, in Coresi Shopping Resort Brasov, and in Palas Iasi.

The company plans to continue with new openings in Promenada Mall in Bucharest as well as in Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, and Timisoara. The company invests on average about EUR 140,000 in its shops, not including the jewelry inventory. A shop usually has 75 to 80 sqm, according to the company’s representatives.

Teilor had a turnover of EUR 4.6 million, in 2014, up by almost 50% compared to 2013, which makes it one of the top ten jewelry retailers in Romania. The company had 63 employees last year.
