Romanian Dacia's models, among 25 best-selling cars in Russia

Dacia’s Logan, Duster, and Sandero models were among the 25 best-selling cars in Russia in August, according to data from the Association of European Business (AEB). The models are selling in Russia under the Renault brand. The French group makes the cars for the Russian market at the Avtovaz factory in Togliatti.

Hyundai’s Solaris was the best-selling car in Russia in August, with 10,581 units sold. Lada’s Granta came next with 9.070 units, followed by KIA New Rio (8,989 units), and Renault’s Logan and Duster (3,654 units, and 3,496 units respectively). Sandero ranked 11th with 2,452 units.

In the first eight months of the year, Lada’s Granta ranked first in the top of best-selling cars in Russia, with 81,748 units, followed by Hyundai Solaris and KIA New Rio. Logan was number 4 with 27,702 units sold, Duster ranked sixth with 26,834 units, and Sandero was 13th with 18,927 units, according to AEB.

More than 138,600 new cars and light commercial vehicles were sold in Russia in August, down 19.4% year-on-year. Over 1 million cars were sold on the Russian market between January and August.
