Romanian Cultural Institute organizes international tour to promote George Enescu Festival

The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) will organize an international tour meant to promote the George Enescu International Festival and the works of the Romanian composer. The first countries to host the promotion events are Bulgaria, Holland and Luxembourg.

ICR will also begin the George Enescu tour in Italy, which will include concerts in Venice, Verona, Turin and Rome. The Enescu Festival will also be promoted in New York, Lisbon and Berlin through a number of concerts featuring international musicians.

ICR will also organize an exhibition displaying George Enescu's personal belongings, as well as an open lesson for the students attending the conservatoires in the cities where these events will be organized.

The 20th George Enescu International Festival and Contest, which will be held between September 1 and 25 this year, will bring together more than 160 artistic events, of which eight are concerts of Romanian music, 13 chamber recitals and concerts, 20 concerts given by some great orchestras and six Enescu and His Contemporaries concerts.
