29 August 2014

The tender organized by the authorities for the first section of the coastal road in Romania’s Constanta attracted four bidders, reports local Mediafax.

According to the deputy mayor of Constanta, Decebal Fagadau, the project evaluation phase will last between 60 and 90 days and then, if the case, the winner will be announced.   If no problems arise, work on the first section of the coastal road might start next spring.

The road’s first section, which will link the Tomis Port and the Modern Beach, will have a length of 2.7 km. The entire coastal road will be 11 km long and will make the connection to the Mamaia seaside resort.
