Romania ranks 6th on list of EU countries on new car registrations

The registration of new cars in Romania has increased in the first two months of 2011 by 22,8 percent, meaning 5.886 units, from the same period last year, when they had only 4.792 registrations, according to the European Automobile Manufactures’ Association.

Thus, Romania ranks 6th on the list of new car registrations, after countries like Latvia (115,4 percent), Estonia (114,5 percent), Slovakia (102.6 percent) and the Netherlands (23,8 percent).

Romania has registered 3.238 automobiles in February of this year, 21,8 percent more than February of 2010, while in the EU countries there were registered 981.429 units, growing with only 0.9 percent. In the brands’ table, Dacia ranks 9th in EU with 37.566 units sold.
