A new heat wave will hit Romania this week, according to meteorologists. On July 12 and July 13, it will get really hot in western and southwestern Romania, with daytime temperatures going up to 35-37 degrees Celsius.

On Thursday, July 14, the heat wave will also cover the southern and central regions, with record temperatures of 38 degrees Celsius being forecasted for the Danube Valley. The thermal discomfort will also increase, as the temperature-humidity index (THI) will reach the critical threshold of 80 units.

The weather will start to change on Thursday afternoon, July 14, according to the National Meteorological Administration. Temperatures will drop significantly in most regions, except for the southeast part where the heat will also persist on July 15.
