Over 40 movies from 25 countries to be screened at this year’s edition of the European Film Festival in Romania

A total of 42 movies from 25 countries will be screened at this year’s edition of the European Film Festival, an event to be organized between May 9 and May 15 in Bucharest, and between May 16 and May 18 in Targu Mures.

The festival is organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute ICR, together with the European Commission Representation in Romania, with the support of embassies and cultural centers of European countries.

In Bucharest, the screenings will take place at Studio and Elvire Popesco cinemas, while in Targu Mures they will be screened at Arta cinema, according to ICR.

The Honorary Ambassador of this year’s edition is Romanian director Adrian Sitaru, known for Pescuit Sportiv (Hooked) and Din dragoste cu cele mai bune intentii (Best Intentions).

The film Miss Violence (Greece, 2013) will be screened at the Gala Evening of the festival, organized on May 9 at Studio Cinema, in the presence of the director Alexandros Avranas and actress Eleni Roussinou.
