Almost 5,000 companies became insolvent in the first five months of the year. The number decreased by more than half (57%) compared to the same period last year.

Most of the companies which filed for insolvency in this period were registered in Bucharest (886). The number went down by 52% year-on-year.

The Bihor county ranked second, with 245 companies which became insolvent, followed by Timis with 239 companies. In both counties, the number of insolvent companies dropped by more than half year-on-year.
