The net investments in the national economy grew by 7.2% in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2014, reaching EUR 6 billion, according to the National Institute of Statistics. New construction works increased by 9.3%, whereas investments in equipment went up by 7.2%.

The net investments in the national economy rose by 6.7% in the second quarter of the year compared to the same period in 2014, amounting to EUR 3.3 billion. In the first quarter of the year, net investments totaled EUR 2.6 billion, up 8.5% year-on-year.

Industry and trade and services attracted the highest investments in the first half of 2015.
