David Petraeus, a former CIA director (pictured), and Philip M. Breedlove, a former commander of NATO Allied Command Operations, will come to Bucharest to attend a reunion on security topics, The Daily Mail reported.

The reunion is scheduled for May 4 and May 5, and will cover topics such as migration, terrorism, populism, and Brexit. Other high-ranking officials are expected to attend the event.

David Petraeus served as the director of the CIA from September 2011 until his resignation in November 2012. Prior to his CIA post, Petraeus served for over 37 years in the United States Army. He was a commander of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) and a commander of the U.S. Forces Afghanistan (USFOR-A) from July 2010 to July 2011.

Philip M. Breedlove is a retired four-star United States Air Force general. He served as the 17th Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) of the NATO Allied Command Operations from May 2013 until May 2016.

The Bucharest reunion is organized by local think-tank Strategikon, whose mission is “focusing on the necessity and means of improving and advancing good governance for the benefit of all,” according to its own presentation. The Honorary President of Strategikon is Ioan Mircea Pascu, a former Romanian defense minister and currently one of the 14 vice-presidents of the European Parliament.
