With the winter holidays knocking on our doors, Romanian-Insider.com reviews some of the best places in Romania to spend the winter holidays. Romania wants to get EUR 1 billion for its 45.9 percent share package in telecom operator Romtelecom. “As a representative of the state, the Communication Ministry will take into account the market realities and will not sell the share package at any price. We will deal with the issue as any serious business,” said Communication Minister Valerian Vreme.

A documentary about American fighter pilots and bombers who raided Romanian targets in the Second World War will be aired on December 1 on TVR 1, Romania's national television channel. The documentary, called "Knights of the Sky: Air War Over Romania" is produced by Romanian-born Dan Dimancescu and directed by Nicholas Dimancescu, the founder of Kogainon Films, in partnership with National Geographic magazine Romania.

Intel will invest several millions of euros into a software development center which will be located in Romania and which will initially hire a staff of 25, mainly focusing on the development of the MeeGo open-source platform. Intel Romania Software Development Center will initially work on the MeeGo platform, a joint project of The Linux Foundation, supported by Intel and Nokia.
