Famous local jazz event re-launches as Bucharest Jazz Festival in July

24 June 2014

One of the most important jazz events in Romania’s capital, the ARCUB Live Open Air — Jazz, Blues & More, will re-launch this year under a new name and a new concept: Bucharest Jazz Festival.

The event will take place between July 2 and July 6 at the George Enescu square and at Hanul Gabroveni.

Besides the jazz concerts to be organized at the George Enescu square, this year’s edition also premieres the special events module, which includes book and disc launches, the Jazz on Film series, meetings and debates, and a jazz poster exhibition. All these events will take place at Hanul Gabroveni in Bucharest.

Throughout the event, the George Enescu square will  host the Jazz Made in Romania stand, which will be exclusively dedicated to local jazz labels and publishers.

The festival in Romania enters the international circuit starting this year, following its membership approval in the prestigious Europe Jazz Network.

The entrance at all the events organized during the festival if free. Find the entire program here.
