US magazine Wired has recently published a piece about cyber crime in Romania and about a network of online scammers stemming from the city of Ramnicu Valcea. The magazine has sent its reporter Yudhijit Bhattacharjee to investigate the story on site in Romania and report about the people said to be involved in the online scamming chain. Bhattacharjee has also talked to two police officers who investigate the network.
The Czech Center of Bucharest will organize a mute film festival called “No silence, please”, which will feature screenings of early cinema masterpieces , accompanied by live music. The program will begin at 20,00 hours on Thursday, February 3, with the Czech movie “Extas” made in 1933 by director Gustav Machatý - the world’s first film that contains a nudity scene.
