Earthquake of 4.8 degrees Richter shakes Romania early on Tuesday

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 degrees Richter was recorded in Romania this morning, according to the Earth Physics Institute. The epicenter was in Vrancea area of Romania. “We were expecting to have this earthquake. It is a regular earthquake which happens every two or three years in that area. I don't think there will be any comebacks or if they will be, they won't be felt...The highest intensity of the earthquake was felt in Iasi,” said Mircea Radulian, the scientific director of the Earth Physics Institute in Romania. No damages have been reported following this earthquake.

The earthquake happened at a depth of 134 kilometers and its epicenter was 35 km away from Buzau and 2 km away from the Odaile village.
