Largest dinosaur park in SEE wants to cash in half a million euros a year

09 June 2015

Almost 100,000 people are expected to visit the largest dinosaur park in South – Eastern Europe, which will be located in central Romania. Built with EUR 5 million in EU funding and set to open on June 12, Dino Parc in Rasnov, near Brasov, will host 45 real-life size dinosaurs, all of which have been scientifically certificated.

The investors in the project, a local private company which leased the land from the city hall for 49 years, expect EUR 500,000 in revenues in the first year after opening. Visitors will enjoy not only the dinosaurs, but house trees, zip lines, and a cinema as well.

The real-life size dinosaur replicas were built in Romania, with technical and scientific support from a team which runs a similar park in Germany.

The open air dino park is located close to the Rasnov citadel. Entry tickets will cost RON 28 for adults, and RON 22 for children; entry will be free for children under 3.

Here’s how the dino park looks like, just before the June 12 opening.
