The local authorities will take over from the National Authority for Tourism ANT the activity that involves the classification of hotels, the authorization of beaches, issuing tourism permits and approving ski slopes, according to a strategy of decentralization for tourism drafted by the Department for SMEs, Business Environment and Tourism.

The strategy’s provision will initially be tested through a pilot project and will then be extended at a national level, reports local Mediafax.
