Romania's Irina Begu wins WTA tournament in Seoul

Romanian tennis player Irina-Camelia Begu, currently number 29 in the WTA ranking, won the WTA tournament in Seoul on September 27, the second international title of her career. She beat Belarusian Aliaksandra Sasnovich in two sets, ended 6-3, 6-1.

Begu will get 280 WTA points and a check for USD 111,000 for her result. This performance will push Begu to the 26th spot in the WTA ranking, which is a career high for the Romanian.

Begu won her first WTA tournament in 2012, at Tashkent. She also played three finals, at Marbella and Budapest (in 2011) and Moscow (in 2014).
