12 October 2015

The Iasi Airport will inaugurate this week a new terminal which involved an investment of EUR 11 million. The new building covers 3,600 sqm, has six check-in offices and will have a maximum processing capacity of 320 passengers per hour.

The work on this terminal began in March last year. It will become fully operational starting October 25, after all the airlines install all the necessary logistics.

The Iasi Airport will also introduce two new destinations, starting this winter season, namely Munich and Paris.

Building the new terminal has been part of a wider project financed by the European Commission, worth EUR 56.7 million. It also involved the extension of the boarding platform.
