Romanian tennis player Monica Niculescu recently won the international tournament in Guangzhou, in China. In the final, she beat French Alize Cornet, number 22 WTA, in two sets ended 6-4 and 6-0.

Niculescu will get USD 111,000 for her victory in the tournament and 280 WTA points. This victory takes her up 19 positions in the WTA ranking, from 60 to 41.

This is Niculescu’s second WTA title, after Florianopolis, in 2013.
