Romanian replaces expat at helm of HP's outsourced service center in Romania

For the first time, a Romanian will lead the HP Global e-Business Operations Center, which was launched in 2005. Andrei Romanescu, 33, took over the managing director's position from Alexander Weigl, who had been running the service center for HP in Romania since 2010.

The Romanian will lead over 3,000 employees in the HP center. He was previously functional manager for EMEA within HP's Global Service Center, and coordinated teams for Romania, Bulgaria and Slovakia. He has been working with HP since 2011, after being VP for operations with WNS Global Services.
