Romania is present at Madrid Book Fair 2023

Romania is present at the Madrid Book Fair with its own stand and a diverse program of events held under the slogan Feria del Libro 2023 este „Creando buena química con las letras rumanas. The fair kicked off on May 26 and awaits visitors until June 11.

The protagonists of the scheduled events are writers from Romania - Lavinia Braniște, Eugen Barz, Svetlana Cârstean, Mihai Firică, Moni Stănilă, Robert Șerban, Vlad Zografi, authors from the diaspora – Elisabeta Boțan, Corina Oproae, as well as philosopher Costică Brădățan, university professor Eugenia Popeangă, illustrator Roxana Irimia, and cultural manager Lucian Vărșăndan.

The events are organized by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) through the National Book Center and the Romanian Cultural Institute in Madrid, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Romanian Embassy in Spain.

Numerous volumes by Romanian authors translated into Spanish in recent years are available at the ICR stand. In addition, the program also includes literary activities, book presentations, recitals, debates, round tables, scientific workshops for children, and autograph sessions.

Now in its 82nd edition, the Madrid Book Fair is one of the most important literary events of its kind in Europe.
