Party asks Romanian Parliament to adopt individual insolvency law

20 January 2015

President of the National Liberal Party (PNL) Alina Gorghiu announced Monday, Januray 19, in a press release that PNL is calling the Parliament for an emergency session to adopt the individual insolvency law, "the only regulation" that can help within the context of the rising Swiss Franc rate, reports local Mediafax.

Prime Minister Victor Ponta announced its support for PNL's initiative, and said that he enjoys that PNL came with a "rational position".

The liberal leader said that the individual insolvency law is the only regulation that can help clients unable to pay their installments to avoid being foreclosed, by rather helping them bring to an end their contract with the bank, which is beneficial for both sides.

The individual insolvency law provides customers with the possibility to reschedule their payments, based on their income.
