(P) Forbidden City Chinese restaurant offers convenient & surprisingly diverse menu specialties !

The Forbidden City (Orasul Interzis) is the first Chinese restaurant in Romania- this would be the best description of this space, if we should get one sentence to summarize.

The name we picked best reflect our values. The Forbidden City reflects the ancient Chinese culture that has kept alive the identity of the people. In the past the Palace of the Emperor was not accessible but to a small number of people, members of the Imperial family, family representatives, servants, soldiers, and very rare guest. Today the name keeps respect for Chinese culture, but the subtlety and the idea of exclusivity.

Our concept was based on the desire to create a restaurant with authentic Chinese cuisine and a menu that includes specific recipes for all four distinct regions of China: Guangdong, Zhejiang, Sichuang and the North. Each of them has brought new elements in Chinese and every cuisine is distinguished by its specificity.

The Cuisine of Zhejiang gives a lot of attention to the quality of ingredients, cooking techniques, design and taste cooking shows. Guangdong seeks recipes based on seafood, chicken and fish, Sichuang comes with a more spicy kitchen-based spicy meat over and pork, while the northern region, which given what is known as the Food of the North Sea, offers a rich selection of the items and pastries in dough, of which stands out the popular "spring packages". Even if the North is perhaps the best known in Romania, we believe that the diversity of Chinese culinary art has much more to offer.  We have composed a really rich menu , even complete, we'd say.

In addition, we wanted to offer a culinary experience in a suitable location. We brought elements of Chinese culture-water, fire, wood, Earth, stone, and imaging-specific topical, and we passed through the design filter . The result, a stylized but at the same time stylish place  - we hope-  that offers both accommodation in as oasis of intimacy and discretion as well as ample spaces, suitable for events or large groups.

The key element is represented by the Chinese chef's selection, with an ample experience in five star locations, and completed with numerous courses. Thus, they became an authentic Chinese menu, guaranteeing that we will strive to refine. Thus, we offer a kitchen and a special space that could delight even those who until now have not preferred Chinese kitchen.

The forbidden city was nominated two years in a row, in 2009 and 2010 "The best Chinese restaurant of the year" at  Eating and Drinking Awards gala Time Out and is presented in various newspapers and magazines, as one of the most respected, stylishly locations where you can find countless fashion names.
