Oresa Ventures names former Vodafone manager at helm of Romanian RTC Proffice

31 August 2012

Swedish investment fund Oresa Ventures, which took over Romanian company RTC Proffice Experience end 2011, named Gabriel Mureșanu as CEO for the company. He will replace Laura Arghirescu starting September 1.

Muresanu specializes in business-to-business and business-to-consumer  sales consultancy, and has 20 years of experience in the telecom area. After 14 years with Vodafone, he started a telesale consultancy project in 2011, Awareness Power Consulting, and worked on telesales campaigns for two of Oresa's companies, La Fantana and Medicover.

Oresa Ventures bought Romanian stationery company RTC Proffice Experience from investor Octavian Radu last year, in a deal whose value was not announced. The deal also involved a re-scheduling of the Romanian company’s bank debt.

RTC Proffice Experience posted a turnover of EUR 28 million in 2010 and had a loss of EUR 1.2 million, according to data from the Finance Ministry.

Oresa Ventures owns several other companies in Romania – construction materials producer Somaco, paint maker Fabryo and Kiwi Finance. The investment fund usually invests between EUR 10 and EUR 20 million in a company.

RTC group had several of its companies under reorganization in 2010 and 2011, like bookstore chain Diverta, TCE Logistica, Fashion Retail group and Sebra Francize.
