Local agencies work on Romania’s telecom rebranding of the year

A host of media and advertising agencies worked on the recent Telekom launch in Romania, and on the re-branding process for the former Romtelecom and Cosmote telecom brands.

GMP Advertising created the concept for the launch campaign concept, while V+O Communication worked on corporate communication, corporate launch events and internal communication, Bakers Digital Communication took care of the social media, Media Investment covered the media services part, and Webstyler, the digital area.

The rebranding was covered in over 300 articles in the national and international media, and the new brand launch was called „the Romanian business event of the decade”, according to Telekom.

The new common Facebook page fb.com/telekom.romania has a reach close to 5 million users, while Almost 200,000 unique users visited event website www.fanmagenta.ro in less than three weeks.

Telekom Romania gathered 50,000 Romanians at its launch party on September 13 in Bucharest, Iasi and Cluj. The event was shaped as an interactive launch, with people connecting via the Hai! app which allowed them to share pictures and selfies that were then shown on a large screen, and control the key moments of the show. The application registered more than 25,000 downloads.

Everyone was given a magenta wristband which lit up at the key moment during the launch event.
