ING Bank brings Polish CEO to Romania, local Negritoiu becomes chairman

Dutch group ING Bank will replace Romanian Misu Negritoiu with Polish Michal Szczurek (in picture) as CEO from September this year.

Misu Negritoiu will become chairman, which is a non-executive position. The 62-year old Romanian has been leading ING bank Romania for the last six years.

Szczurek, 41, has been leading the TMB Thailand division for the last three years. He attended a press conference in Bucharest on Friday (June 15), where the change was announced.

ING Bank Romania ranks ninth in the local banking system end 2011, with assets of EUR 3.9 billion.
