Hilton Worldwide recently named Ulrich Hoffmeister at the helm of the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Oradea, Western Romania. Hoffmeister moved to Romania from Frankfurt, where he was director of operations of the Hilton hotel. He joined Hilton Worldwide in 1996, initially in Munich, then went on to work with Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza and Arabella Sheraton in the Middle East, UK and the US.

The DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Oradea has 147 rooms, an Eforea spa center and events facilities. The hotel was opened by Romanian investment fund SIF Banat Crisana and local firm Calipso. This is the second Double Tree by Hilton opened in Romania, after the one in Bucharest.
