The one in Bucharest opened its doors three years ago in a great location by the lake in Herestrau Park.

A tempest has taken over the capital city Bucharest, which it various areas turned into a short-term hailstorm. The rain shower comes after a full day of heat, with high temperatures across Romania. Meteorologists have warned about weather unpredictability, with high changes of precipitations during these days in Romania.

Romanians flocked to the seaside last week-end, when the number of tourists in the local seaside resorts reached 80,000, according to official statistics. The number however includes only the tourists which checked into hotels, without taking into account those who have stayed at individuals who rent their places for the summer.

Kiseleff boulevard in Bucharest will become a car free area during week-end and will be dedicated to sports activities starting this week-end, until August 8. The project, called 'Via Sport', will feature basket, soccer, badminton and ping-pong areas, the Bucharest municipality has announced.

The Otopeni Air Show, which will start tomorrow on the Otopeni airport in Bucharest, will be broadcast live on the Internet, on the airport's website. The event will start at 10,00 on Saturday, July 17.

The tourist information touch screens, which have been installed in the Universitate passage earlier this year but have stayed in their factory wrapping every since are finally functional and have attracted tourists and locals alike. The multimedia equipments installed by the Bucharest City Hall in the passage include the touch screens, as well as interactive areas on the floor.

This week as a change of scene I am commenting on a wine shop rather than a wine bar. Ethic Wines is an independent wine shop based opposite Floreasca fruit and vegetable market. The shop is owned and run by Cornel and Lucian, a pair of wine enthusiasts who appreciate the grape.
