Enel brings new country manager for Romania

Energy provider Enel recently appointed a new country manager for Romania, who will take over from Luca D'Agnese. The new Enel country manager is Toni Volpe, who will start his mandate on April 30. Luca D’ Agnese came at the helm of Enel Romania in 2011.

Volpe joined the Enel group 10 years ago, and between 2011 and 2014 was director responsible for HR planning and development within the group. Prior to that, he was president and CEO of Enel Green Power North America for six years.

Toni Volpe has an MSE in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering form the Politecnico di Milano, and an MBA from the Columbia Business School. His full CV on LinkedIn is here. 

Enel’s turnover in Romania was of EUR 971 million in 2012. The company has 3,800 employees in Romania, where it supplies electricity in Banat, Dobrogea and Muntenia Sud, including in the Romanian capital Bucharest.

Vis its subsidiary Green Power, Enel has so far invested EUR 750 million in wind parks in Romania.
