French carmaker Renault will launch two models under the Romanian Dacia brand in Europe in 2012, the company said in a press release Thursday. Renault plans to launch a family car and a light commercial vehicle under the Dacia brand.

Romanian company La Fantana posted a turnover of EUR 17 million, the same as in the previous year, with a volume of sales of almost 80 million liters of bottled water, according to the company.

The European Commission has recently approved a EUR 30 million aid scheme for Romania's farming segment, aiming to help farmers who find it hard to get loans during this period. The aid within this program is time – limited and structured as loans.

The Toro Company has purchased a plot of 3,5 hectares in Ploiesti West Park where it intends to build a manufacturing facility of 11,000 sqm that will employ approximately 100 people, once fully operational. Constructions will start in early 2011 and the facility will include production/assembly, warehouse and office space.

Romanian housing prices will continue to decrease slightly in the first half of the year and will stabilize in the second half, according to evaluation firm Darian. Company representatives said they expect foreclosures to continue this year, which, coupled with more relaxed financing conditions, should ease real estate transactions this year.
