Chinese carmaker Great Wall, the largest such producer in China, wants to export to Romania the cars it produces in Bulgaria, through a partnership with Bulgarian Litex Motors, according to Agerpres newswire.

The Bulgarians have been manufacturing Great Wall cars since 2012. The Bulgarian company wants to sign distribution agreements across the region, including in Romania.

The factory in Bulgaria sells some 100 cars a month now, but hopes to reach 3,000 cars a month by year-end. In Bulgaria, the Romanian brand Dacia was the best sold in 2013, with 2,118 units, above Volkswagen, with 2,068 units.

Great Wall Motors is China’s largest SUV and pickup manufacturer. The company was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 2003 and the Shanghai Stock Exchange in 2011. Its assets amounted to some EUR 5.7 billion end - 2013.

The Chinese producer has over 30 holding subsidiaries, more than 60,000 employees, four vehicle production bases and a production capacity of 800,000 units.
