Alonzo King, the founder of famous North American dance companies,  and his Lines Ballet will perform in Bucharest, part of JTI Romania Meetings series.  The  San Francisco - based Lines Ballet will dance on November 17 on the stage of National Theater of Bucharest, at 19:00.

Alonzo King founded Lines Ballet in 1992, the company becoming in time one of the most prestigious and exciting contemporary dance companies in North America. An admirer of famous choreographer George Balanchine, King has developed an inventive dance, sensual and vibrant, creating a bridge between tradition and modernity.

Alonzo King's works are to be found in the Swedish Royal Ballet's repertoire, as well as in the shows of the Frankfurt Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, Dance Theater from Harlem, Alvin Ailey American Dance Company, Hong Kong Ballet, Washington Ballet, and Ballet of Monte Carlo.

The JTI Meetings are dance events organized by tobacco company JTI, a subsidiary of Japan Tobacco.
