Alka Group, one of the biggest players in the market of salty and sweet snacks, announced it has recently completed another expansion stage of its production unit in Ploiesti, Prahova County.

The total investments in the facility, where 100 mln bags of Toortitzi, Soocitzi or Meteoritzi are produced, reached EUR 25 mln, Ziarul Financiar reported. Out of the total, EUR 18 mln was invested in the production equipment.

Alka started investments in Ploiesti in 2018. The company operates another production unit in Bucharest.

In Ploiesti, Alka produces salty snacks baked under the brands Toortitzi, Soocitzi or Meteoritzi for the domestic market and for export.
