Bad weather will return to Romania on Tuesday, May 24, according to a warning by Romanian meteorologists.

As many as 34 counties will be under a yellow code of rain and wind between May 24, 15:00 and May 25, 21:00. The only counties not covered by this alert are in western and southern Romania.

The rainfall will reach 20-25 liters per sqm in the regions of Moldova, Dobrogea, Transylvania, Maramures, northern and eastern Muntenia and the mountain regions, and even 50-70 liters per sqm in the Eastern Carpathians. Rain is expected together with lightning and strong wind.

On Tuesday evening and the following night, the weather will be unstable in central and southern Muntenia, including Bucharest, according to the National Administration of Meteorology ANM.
