Vodafone Romania launches EUR 300,000 Fund for Good Deeds, calls for education and health projects

Telecom operator Vodafone Romania's Foundation recently launched a new program, called the Fund for Good Deeds, which will help NGOs and institutions in education and health. The total value of the new fund is EUR 300,000, and the financing per project is capped at EUR 30,000. Vodafone Romania's Foundation budget for the entire 2013 is of EUR 2.5 million.

Financing via the Fund for Good Deeds will be granted based on submitted offers from NGOs, public institutions which work in education and hospitals, and can range between EUR 1,000 and EUR 30,000.

Financing requests can be submitted for the new fund can be done online at http://vodafone.grantwizard.ro. Submitted projects can cover various areas, from better quality of medical services, to medical assistance for the under-privileged, and better access to education.

Projects will be selected by a team made of board members of Vodafone Romania Foundation and of its team. Winning projects must be original, relevant, sustainable, visible and have an impact in a wider geographical area and for a larger number of beneficiaries.  Projects exclusively focusing on fundraising or who benefit people who live outside Romania will not be eligible. Projects can be submitted until August 8, and the results will be announced in September 2013.
