Telecom group Vodafone could acquire the European cable operator Liberty Global, which owns local telecom operator UPC Romania, according to Reuters sources, cited by local Economica.net.

In Romania, Vodafone had about 8.5 million customers on September 30, 2014, 7.9 million of which were mobile service users.
