State subsidies for public pension system, down by EUR 153 mln in Romania

Subsidies from the state budget for the public pension system will go down by EUR 153 million, according to a draft amendment to the state social insurance budget, published by the Ministry of Public Finance, reports local Agerpres.

Overall, revenues to the public pension system revenues will go up by EUR 1.9 million, after increasing its current income by EUR 155.7 million and decreasing the subsidies by EUR 153.8 million, according to the draft project.

The current income to the public pension system is up due to the higher social insurance contributions paid by employers and insured people, as well as due to the increase in the social insurance scheme for work accidents and occupational diseases.
