Spark becomes biggest car-sharing operator on RO market

04 August 2020

Lithuanian company Spark Technologies, which operates an app-based electric car-sharing service, will add 400 Renault ZOE cars to its Romanian fleet.

Thus, Spark becomes the largest car-sharing service in Romania, with over 550 electric vehicles in its fleet. The company entered the Romanian market one year ago.

"We started with less than 50 cars in Bucharest, and soon we will have over 550 fully electric vehicles. We are very pleased with the collaboration with Renault and expect it to be a long-term success. With the 400 Renault ZOE cars, we continue the strategy of becoming more accessible for our customers and, at the same time, the largest car-sharing platform in the country," says Dimitar Stoyanov, country manager, Spark Romania.

The version of the Renault ZOE model used by Spark is equipped with a 40 kWh battery and has a range of up to 300 kilometers (WLTP).

The current rental price for this car is RON 0.86 per minute (the equivalent of nearly EUR 11 per hour) and RON 120 (EUR 25) for 24 hours.
