The 22nd edition of Gaudeamus International Book and Education Fair will bring some 300 exhibitors to Bucharest’s Romexpo exhibition complex between November 18 and November 22.

The event’s program includes more than 700 editorial and professional events that will take place at the exhibitors’ booths, as well as in the special places arranged by the organizer.

This year’s guest of honor is GADIF – Group of Embassies, Delegations and Francophone Institutions in Romania, and the fair’s president of honor is Victor Ieronim Stoichita, a well-known Romanian researcher and professor of art history who currently lives in Switzerland. The guest of honor will organize more than 20 events during the fair, including book launches and photo exhibitions.

The event’s official opening will take place on November 18, 12:00. An entry ticket costs RON 5, while a subscription has a price of RON 10. The fair will stay open daily between 10:00 and 22:00.

Gaudeamus Book Fair takes place at Romexpo every year, in an exhibit space of some 14,000 sqm. The most wanted book of the 2014 edition of the fair was Step by Step (Pas cu Pas), the autobiography of Romania’s newly elected President Klaus Iohannis. The event’s guest of honour was the Russian Federation.
