Six Romanian high school students win three silver, three bronze medals at International Science Olympiad in India

Six Romanian high school students have returned from the International Science Olympiad with three silver and three bronze medals, one for each member of the team. Held in India between December 3 and 12, the Olympiad gathered 223 students from 45 countries.

The Romanians who got silver medals were Robert Cristian Raclea, tenth grader from Galati, Theodor Axenie, eleventh grader from Bucharest, and Alexandru Zanca from Ploiesti. Bronze medals went to Ioana Patricia Isfan, tenth grader from Targu Jiu, Regado Goncalo Araujo, eleventh grader from Suceava, and Mihnea Daniel Zoican, tenth grader from Bucharest.

Students faced three tests, two individual theoretical tests, and a team, practical test, for teams made of three members, on chemistry, biology and physics.
