Silver for the Romanian women’s epee team at the World Championships in Moscow

Romania women’s epee team won silver at the World Fencing Championships organized in Moscow between July 13 and July 19. The Romanian team was defeated by China in the final, with a score of 36-45.

Romanians Ana-Maria Branza, Simona Gherman, Simona Pop, and Loredana Dinu defeated Hungary in the quarterfinals with 22-13, and then beat Ukraine in the semifinals with 27-24, according to frscrima.ro.

Romania women’s epee team won gold at the World Fencing Championships in 2010 (in Paris) and 2011 (Catania), and bronze in 2013 (Budapest). It ranked fifth in 2014 at Kazan.

Romania women’s epee team claims sixth European title.
