SAP Romania: Companies in production, most active in adopting specific software solutions

06 June 2013

In the first three months of this year, companies with activities in production were the most active when it came to adopting specific software solutions, according to business management software solutions provider SAP Romania. Moreover, the company’s representatives estimate that this trend will continue in 2013, under the increasing pressure to streamline businesses.

Some of the main factors that encouraged companies to adopt software solutions include the increasing cost for energy and equipment maintenance, as well as the need to reduce delays in completion and delivery of orders, according to SAP Romania.

The company’s estimations suggest that a 5 percent variation in energy costs as well as the possibility of extending the life of equipment by optimizing the production processes can increase annual profit by 10 percent.

“In any company active in the production field, the costs for energy and equipment maintenance represents an important part of the expenses and their managers want to have a clear overview of the costs for each consumer individually, or operational processes carried out on the production line,” said Valentin Tomsa (in picture), general manager SAP Romania.

Software and software-related services provider SAP AG is headquartered in Germany. The company is present in 130 countries worldwide and has over 230,000 customers.
