Romanian tennis player Simona Halep maintains her position in the WTA rankings.

With 6,571 points, Halep comes third in the rankings, after American Serena Williams and Russian Maria Sharapova. Williams, who won the Australian Open for the sixth time in her career, has 9,776 points, while Sharapova comes second with 8,210.

The top 10 is completed by Petra Kvitova, Caroline Wozniacki, Ana Ivanovic, Eugenie Bouchard, Agnieszka Radwanska, Ekaterina Makarova and Angelique Kerber.

Romanian tennis player Irina Begu went up to number 34, from 42, while Niculescu Monica went down to number 57. Another Romanian player, Dulgheru Alexandra, is 95th in the ranking.
