Romania's tax agency collects RON 50.4 bln in Q1, up 1.3% year-on-year

Romania’s National Fiscal Administration Agency (ANAF) collected revenues of RON 50.4 billion (EUR 11 billion) in the first quarter of this year, up 1.3% year-on-year.

In absolute terms, the revenues collected by the tax authorities increased by RON 631 million (EUR 138.6 million) in the first three months of this year compared to the same period last year.

In March, the collected revenues went up by 5.2% year-on-year reaching RON 18.43 billion (EUR 4 billion).

In the first two months, the consolidated budget recorded a surplus of RON 397 million (0.05%), half compared to the surplus of RON 788 million recorded in January and February last year as the budget revenues dropped by 1.4%.
