07 November 2016

The 23rd edition of Gaudeamus, the longest-running book fair in Romania, will take place at Romexpo exhibition complex in Bucharest between November 16 and November 20.

China will be this year’s guest of honor. The country will have its own stand at the fair, where it will present some of its most representative books and will organize several events for book lovers.

Similar to previous years, the fair will bring together hundreds of thousands of titles from both Romanian and international literature. Its program will also include numerous events, exhibitions, and contests.

Gaudeamus will stay open daily between 10:00 and 20:00, and the entry will cost RON 5 (EUR 1.1). The students, teachers, librarians, and pensioners will benefit from free entry.

Last year’s edition of the fair attracted a record number of visitors - 125,000, who spent some EUR 3.2 million.
