Romanian star tennis player Simona Halep has advanced to the WTA Finals in Singapore after winning against Polish Agnieszka Radwanska on Saturday, 6-2, 6-2. Halep, number 4 WTA, defeated Radwanska, who is number 6 WTA. The two had met in the past, with Halep having won two times out of six.

The final promises to be a tensed one, as Williams promised she will train hard to beat Halep the next time they meet. "I know she’ll be more focused and I just want to enjoy the final," said Halep about the upcoming match with Williams.  The final will take place on Sunday, October 27, at 13,00, Romania time. It will be broadcast live on Digisport and Dolcesport.

“I’m very excited to be in the finals. I didn’t expect this result here and I’ve had to work very hard to play my best tennis here this week,” Halep said. “Agnieszka’s also a great player and I want to congratulate her on reaching the semifinals. I also want to thank everyone that came to support us – they were unbelievable," said Halep upon winning a new match.  “I knew that I’d have to run a lot and that she’s also running very well. I just wanted to play very fast and finish the points very quick and take the ball inside the baseline. My style was to be aggressive. I did that and also served really well," she added.
