Romania's Finance Minister names new managers for state-owned bank CEC

The Finance Ministry has appointed new management for the state-owned bank CEC.

Enache Jiru, head of the state Treasury, takes over as the bank’s general manager. He held the same position between 2004 and 2005, and was also CEC vice president between 2000 and 2001.

Lucian Anghel, president of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, becomes prime vice president. He is also general manager of local pension fund BCR Pensii.

Mihaela Popa, Cristian Tudorancea and Andrei Micu will become vice presidents.

The new managers need to receive the Romanian National Bank (BNR) approval.
